I tried a little experiment this week: at the end of each day, I took a self-portrait with my digital camera to capture my mood. I thought of each picture as a diary entry, only quicker and flashier (get it?)! The result: it would appear that a graduate student who works full-time gets a little punchy by the end of the week:) Here is the (de)evolution of my week, in pictures:
Sunday
Well, this is a happy luddite! The week’s just starting, and I’m ready for whatever it brings.
Monday

I’ve just come from the gym and I’m ready to write Official Post 5: The Search, Part Two. Let the seratonin flow!
Tuesday
OK, one class down, another to go later in the week. All is well, but it appears I am upside down (Rosie actually likes to sleep this way). Hmm…
Wednesday

Oh dear, a crack in the facade. Not so perky anymore! And wait, what’s this?

Sleepy time! Don’t ask me how I took this picture because I won’t tell. Note that I fell asleep on my laptop — I showed it who’s boss! BTW, this isn’t my most flattering picture of all time but, for you and for the integrity of the project, I published it.
Thursday

Ah, sweet, sweet relaxation with the best show on TV! Classes successfully completed for the week, and one more day of work to go. All in all, not too bad.
If you had done the same thing this week, what would your string of photos show?
