With elections right around the corner, energy depedence is a hot topic. Given that gas prices have spiked ten cents per night in my neighborhood since the hurricanes in the Gulf, I don’t want to hear one more word about reducing our need for foreign oil. Clearly, domestic drilling comes with its own issues, and we need to talk seriously about reducing our dependence on oil, period.
