Hope your weekend was fantastic! Mine was, and it included all of the following and more:
While Sarah was in town — yay! – we decided to check out “Run, Fat Boy, Run” (“You prick!”). We thought it was really funny, despite the fact that the ticket salesperson informed us it was “ok, but no ‘Drillbit Taylor.’” Then again, what is?
And how about you?
I fell in the parking lot this morning; the rain made the surface slippery, and down I went. Oopsie! What are the odds of wiping out twice in two months?!
Have you had Fresca?
Fresca is the most delicious soda ever invented. LBJ thought so, too: he had a Fresca On Demand button in the Oval Office. I totally identify, since I can’t have just one glass of this sparkly, calorie-free, grapefruit-flavored marvel. I also can’t understand how something with grapefruit juice concentrate has no calories. Better living through chemicals, I guess.
It is good to know I’m not alone in my love for Fresca: it has a small cult following (warning: slightly odd link). But we might be in love with variations on the same thing since, in some places, Fresca is available in other flavors. Actually in fact, Caroline and John like Black Cherry Citrus Fresca — a taste explosion that my grocery store doesn’t carry. (I should mention not everyone is as excited by this development as I am.)
Why do I share all of this?
Because I am trying to figure out the no-calorie thing, so I’m offering a prize to the first person who can explain. (FYI, the prize is…a Fresca!)
And because I am scared for Fresca. It seems to be the stepchild of the Coca-Cola family. When was the last time you saw a Fresca ad? Not a good sign that unofficial Fresca Web sites rank higher on a Google search than the official site, which is horrible and plays turnoffish trans music.
So, do you share the love? If not for Fresca, then for what?
Hope the Easter Bunny left a little something for you today, and that you’ve been able to enjoy these slightly warmer temperatures.
Happy Easter! Happy Spring!
When I was younger, I dreaded Sunday nights. They meant the weekend was over (LOVE weekends!) and it was time to focus on school/homework again.
Actually, what really compounded my dread was our grandfather clock, which chimed every 15 minutes. The later it got, the more those chimes sounded like, “Hey-there, Kath-y, do-your-home-work.”
Or was that my mom?
These days, I choose to go to school, and I hardly dread it. However, we just had Spring Break (LOVE Spring Break!), and I’m very aware that I have two papers due this week. And, there’s work.
What’s that I hear? The chimes! My mom?
So, how do you overcome the Sunday Night Feeling?
Dancing Thursday. Usual place, around 8-ish. Be there!
Today is a marathon, not a sprint. It includes all of the following and more:
Fortunately, none of these events overlap, allowing for breaks, hydration, etc. These are important considering the length of the race, so to speak.
What does Saturday hold for you?
Pepsi is about to launch a new product: Tava, a no-calorie beverage for the hip. We’re the target consumers (young, savvy, sophisticated, blah blah blah), and I’m wondering: would you buy it? Would this new style of advertising appeal to you?
This video is hysterical! Actually, it’s “fierce,” and if you know who says that, you’ll think this is the funniest thing you’ve seen all day.
Now make it work!
